After completing a general surgery residency at The University of Iowa, Dr. Bouzaglou discovered her passion for plastic surgery and knew it was the right path for her. She went on to complete a plastic surgery residency at The University of Kentucky, where she became the first female plastic surgery resident, learning from some of the most respected figures in the field.

Even with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Bouzaglou remains committed to expanding her skills. Over 4,500 successful cases later, she and her team have pioneered a shift away from general anesthesia in many procedures, using oral sedation and local anesthesia instead. This approach has led to faster recovery times and fewer risks for patients, expanding access to surgery for those who may not have qualified otherwise due to anesthetic risks.

Dr. Bouzaglou’s primary focus has been on breast surgery, with a range of procedures including augmentations, reductions, lifts, and reconstruction.
